RecScreen® Glass 8000 fabrics are technical fabrics designed for solar radiation control and are made from fiberglass yarns coated with a protective resin to improve their performance. This combination provides fabrics with exceptional mechanical and thermal properties: versatility, durability and resistance to high temperatures.

RecScreen® Glass 8000 is the ideal fabric for exteriors thanks to its excellent dimensional stability and high resistance to extreme temperatures. It does not warp under heat, maintains its tension in large installations and guarantees long-lasting performance even in severe weather conditions.

RecScreen® Glass 8000 is the perfect solution for a wide variety of outdoor curtains, being the fabric especially recommended for ZIP systems, vertical awnings, cable guided blinds and vertical enclosures for pergolas.

RecScreen® Glass 8000 fabric is designed to:

  • Filter sunlight, reducing the glare effect.
  • Increase the level of privacy without giving up the view of the outside, thanks to its 3% opening degree.
  • Contribute to energy savings, reducing air conditioning consumption.
  • Avoid discoloration of interior decoration fabrics (upholstery, carpets, etc.), protecting them from UV rays.
  • Resist humidity, wind and atmospheric agents, maintaining their appearance and performance over time.
  • Offer excellent fire performance, complying with the most demanding safety standards (Bs3, d0).

Maintenance of RecScreen® Glass 8000 fabrics

RecScreen® Glass 8000 fabrics are easy to maintain. The surface of the screen yarn is plastic and has no pores, which makes it difficult for dirt to adhere and easy to remove.

Generally it is sufficient to sponge with soapy water and rinse with plenty of water, leaving the fabric completely unfolded to dry.

If the fabric has a lot of dust accumulation, it is preferable to remove it first with a vacuum cleaner (if compressed air is available, it is also possible to blow on the surface of the fabric, being careful to do it always at a prudent distance to avoid damaging the fabric). Once the dust has been removed, the fabric should be cleaned with a sponge and soapy water and then rinsed with clean water, leaving the fabric completely unfolded to dry.

It is very important never to rub the fabric with solvents or abrasive substances (metallic brushes, powder detergents, etc.) as these products damage the surface of the yarn and cause small cracks that will allow dirt to accumulate in them and make them more difficult to remove.

When cleaning the windows, it is advisable to completely remove or roll up the RecScreen® Glass 8000 fabric to avoid chemical splashes.
