RecScreen® Glass 8000 fabrics are technical fabrics designed for solar radiation control and are made from fiberglass yarns coated with high performance polymers. This combination provides fabrics with exceptional mechanical and thermal properties: stability, durability and resistance to high temperatures.
RecScreen® Glass 8000 is the ideal fabric for exteriors thanks to its excellent dimensional stability and high resistance to extreme temperatures. It does not deform in heat or shrink in cold weather, maintains its tension in large installations and guarantees long-lasting performance even in severe climatic conditions, with large temperature differences between day and night.
RecScreen® Glass 8000 is the perfect solution for a wide variety of curtains or vertical outdoor textile systems, being the fabric especially recommended for ZIP systems, vertical awnings, rod or cable guided blinds and vertical enclosures for pergolas.
Key benefits of RecScreen® Glass 8000 fabric:
- Increases thermal comfort by reducing the entry of infrared radiation 2.
- Filters sunlight, reducing the effect of glare, without eliminating the use of natural light.
- Increases the level of privacy without sacrificing visibility to the outside, thanks to its 3% degree of openness.
- Contributes to energy savings, reducing the consumption of air conditioning and artificial light.
- Prevents discoloration of interior elements (floorboards, furniture, upholstery, carpets, etc.), protecting them from UV rays
- Resists humidity, wind and atmospheric agents, maintaining its appearance and performance over time.
- Offers excellent fire performance, complying with the most demanding safety standards for interior applications (Class 1) and for exterior applications (B-s3, d0).

Maintenance of RecScreen® Glass 8000 fabrics
RecScreen® Glass 8000 fabrics are easy to maintain. The surface of the screen yarn is plastic and has no pores, which makes it difficult for dirt to adhere and easy to remove.
Generally it is sufficient to sponge with soapy water and rinse with plenty of water, leaving the fabric completely unfolded to dry.
If the fabric has a lot of dust accumulation, it is preferable to remove it first with a vacuum cleaner (if compressed air is available, it is also possible to blow on the surface of the fabric, being careful to do it always at a prudent distance to avoid damaging the fabric). Once the dust has been removed, the fabric should be cleaned with a sponge and soapy water and then rinsed with clean water, leaving the fabric completely unfolded to dry.
It is very important never to rub the fabric with solvents or abrasive substances (metallic brushes, powder detergents, etc.) as these products damage the surface of the yarn and cause small cracks that will allow dirt to accumulate in them and make them more difficult to remove.
When cleaning the windows, it is advisable to completely remove or roll up the RecScreen® Glass 8000 fabric to avoid chemical splashes.
