The Recacril® System fabrics are the natural evolution of the Recacril® fabrics, designed to achieve high impermeability, with water column over 1000 mm. Besides the Infinity Process, these fabrics are coated one side with high-tech resins. This coating provides the fabric with an outstanding water resistance.

The special coating formulation and the implementation process studied, provides Recacril® System fabric with an exceptional resistance to wrinkles that inevitably occur during the manufacturing process. Moreover, unlike other articles of the market, the coated side of the Recacril® System fabrics do not shine nor has a whitish appearance.

Recacril® System awnings are offered in 120 cm wide with a wide range of solid colors and listings, ideal to use in awnings with high water resistance.

Recacril® System is now weldable. Due to its new finishing formula, Recacril® System is the only waterproof Acrylic fabric that can be heatsealed using tape or glue welding machines. Advantge: No penetration of water and dirt into the seams.

The Recacril® System canvases follow a rigorous quality control throughout the manufacturing process, meeting all requirements for obtaining approval of the UNE-EN 13561:2004+A1:2009 (Performance requirements including awnings security).

Antimicrobial Treatment

Rot causing microorganisms, such as molds, algae and bacteria can damage acrylic coated canvases.

To prevent the occurrence of these microorganisms and ensure the quality of our fabrics, Recacril® System canvases are treated with antimicrobial products that offer optimal protection.

Antimicrobials products prevent microorganisms to adhere to the fabric, however, these microorganisms may grow on dirt and other foreign substances if not removed from the fabric. To maximize the lifetime of the Recacril® System canvases is essential to carry out periodic cleaning as described in the Maintenance section.

Maintenance for Recacril System Canvases

The  high technology finish, Infinity Process provides the RECASENS canvases with a long lasting protection against mold and excellent water and oil repellency, making awnings protect you from both sun and water for many years.

However, the accumulation of dust, air pollution particles, foreign organic materials and general dirt can damage this protection, shortening the life of the canvas so they must be eliminated.

The most effective method for maintaining canvases is to clean once a month with water with a low pressure hose, thereby, dirt accumulation into the fabric is avoided.

It is very important that after cleaning with water, the canvas should be completely dry before rolling back the awning.

In case of rain we can leave the awning open, since rain washes dirt. If for any reason you have to roll the wet awning, it must be unrolled as soon as possible and let it dry. In times of continuous rains is advisable to keep the awnings rolled.

If this periodic water washing is done, in most environments, you only need make a process more thorough cleaning every 2 or 3 years.

The steps to follow are:

  1. Brush off excess dust and dirt with a soft brush. NEVER brush with stiff brushes since damage the finish film tissue.
  2. Spray the awning with clean water. If a hose is used, to avoid high pressure.
  3. Prepare a solution of solvent-free soap in warm water (no more than 40ºC) and apply it on the awning, letting penetrate tissue.
  4. Rinse with water to remove all traces of soap.
  5. Let air dry and no wind the awning until the canvas is completely dry.

The Recacril® System tarps are protected against the growth of fungi, however, whether fungi can grow on embedded dirt. To clean these stains are needed more intensive cleaning using the following procedure:

  1. Brush off excess dust and dirt with a soft brush. NEVER brush with stiff brushes since damage the finish film tissue.
  2. Prepare a solution with 10% household bleach, 20% of solvent-free neutral detergent and 70% water.
  3. Apply the solution onto the fabric, leaving act between 15 and 20 minutes maximum.
  4. Rinse with clean water several times, as if bleach residues will remain on canvas, with the combined action of the sun, could damage the fabric.
  5. Allow to air dry and no wind the awning until the canvas is completely dry.
  6. Repeat the process if necessary.

To protect the environment, be sure to pick up the dirty water when using bleach as it can be harmful to animals and plants.

Consumer information

Due to handling during preparation or installation of the awning, some imperfections can occur. These small irregularities such as veining, small folds or whitish streaks are inherent in the nature of acrylic fiber and do not harm the properties of the canvas. Therefore, is not the responsibility of the installer or manufacturer.

Whitish marbled streaks appears on wrinkle formation during the manufacture and installation of the awning. This is caused by an optical effect of different refraction of light. Are minor brands that are appreciated more for transparency. The light colored canvas are more sensitive to the formation of these imperfections than dark colored canvases.

Small folds can appear along the seams by rolling the canvas due to increased thickness of the seam.
