CRISTALREC is a sheet of transparent PVC with high levels of UV inhibitors that prevent yellowing when used in exterior applications. Its exceptional transparency makes it ideal for applications where perfect visibility and long life is required.

It comes in two versions: 0.5 mm and 0.65 mm thick.

Recommended applications include:

  • windows for boat enclosures.
  • storefronts for restaurants and cafés.
  • windows for tents.

CRISTALREC maintains its transparency and resists weathering much better than other transparent PVC sheets, maintaining flexibility in cold weather and providing excellent visibility when exposed to water. It has a very low degree of yellowing.

CRISTALREC unrolls easily and has proven efficacy in blocking UV rays. A special fungicide formula is added to the product in order to maintain the surface mold free.

MASTER canvases are woven with high tenacity polyester yarns PVC coated on both sides, specifically designed for textile architecture.

Classification for fire reaction is T2 according to UNE EN 15619 (Fire Reaction tests for materials used in construction) being suitable for use in public places.

MASTER canvases are presented in white to provide a high visible transmittance and  making the most of natural light. Its weight of 700 g/m2, the high strength and good dimensional stability, allows to obtain extremely light structures.

The base fabric is made from anticapilar yarn to prevent mold on fabric and dark stains that would be visible due to the translucency of the canvas itself.

When the canvas translucency from MASTER is an unwanted characteristic, MASTER opaque is used. It is a fabric made from high tenacity polyester with opaque coating of 4 layers and lacquered on 2 sides.

As an opaque canvas, offers maximum sun protection and high thermal comfort by blocking sunlight. It also has an advantage, the outside dirt is not visible from the inside, maintaining a flawless appearance.

PVC Technical characteristics

PVC is a high-strength material with low thermal conductivity, economic, and also recyclable. That’s there as on why PVC canvases have become a widely used material in many fields of application. PVC tarps are used in Textile Architecture, truck covers, covers for pools or ponds, awnings and in all other applications requiring waterproof, high tensile resistance and durability.

Technological advances in the fabric development, allow to have high strength and flexibility, but with a weight-to-surface ratio lower than other materials.

RECASENS PVC Technical fabrics, are studied and proven products, having excellent weather resistance, holding for a long time, both its mechanical properties and its color. They are also highly resistant to mold.

RECASENS PVC canvases have excellent weldability and are easily printable.

Maintenance of fabrics of PVC

RECASENS fabrics, Technical Textiles, are fabrics easy to maintain. The fabric surface is non-porous plastic, making it difficult for dirt to adhere but easy to remove.

Dirt accumulation can end up damaging the PVC canvas finish, causing accelerated deterioration. It is recommended to periodically clean the canvas to prevent rot and mold growth.

For effective cleaning, sponge out using soapy water and then rinse with clean water. Let dry the fabric positioned in a perfect tension.

We recommend using neutral (non-ionic) and a low percentage of alcohol detergents. Avoid using highly acidic or highly alkaline detergents and do not use solvents or bleaching agents such as bleach or hydrogen peroxide.

To avoid damaging the canvas finish, do not use chemicals or abrasive brushes or cleaning systems using water jets at high pressure.
